Economic Development
Impact Cleveland has helped bring together a unique collaboration between The Refuge and Cleveland State Community College’s "OneSource" Workforce Readiness Center, to assist neighborhood residents in securing better employment opportunities. Initially, our goal is to funnel as many interested community residents into this one-week intensive job-readiness program as possible. We want to connect quality, job-ready candidates to viable employment opportunities here in Cleveland.
Ultimately, our goal is to offer empowerment for others through skills training education so that participants may move toward economic sustainability through acquisition of living wage employment.
Since Career Connection began in March 2015, we were proud to have had more than 50 graduates. We expect this number to continue growing into 2017 and beyond.
